Ro established her own marketing & PR consultancy whilst at university which worked predominantly with councils in the public sector, she went on to work for and gain blue chip experience with the Daily Mail & General Trust and Bowne Global in various management positions. Ro then took a career break to study law and trained with Cobbetts LLP before being admitted as a practicing lawyer. Ro oversees all new business opportunities and marketing activities for the company as well as keeping an eye on the legal side of things.

Director of Business Development

Geoff has over 30 years experience in the ICT sector and has played a leading role in the development of innovative solutions to business problems in both the public and private sector. He specialises in the exploitation of emerging technologies. Geoff is a member of the West Midlands Interactive Digital Media Group, the Black Country Creative Industries Forum and the Institution of Economic Development. Geoff identifies new business opportunities and undertakes client liaison.

Founder & Chairman

Stephen has been involved in the games industry for over 30 years, both as a player and analyst of pedagogy in commercial games. Steve established and managed a successful games centre (partnered with IGames UK) which worked with hard to reach young people and the wider community. This experience is invaluable to LearnPlay Foundation as it underpins the basis of all our programmes. Stephen develops the structure and content for all LearnPlay activities and programmes.

deeDee Patel BA (Hons) Business Management

Head of Delivery

Dee began his career 15 years ago having established and managed his own street wear design and manufacturing company. He progressed to hone his project and operation management skills by working as an independent consultant managing and delivering region wide projects and then to the private sector as a consultant managing big projects. Dee oversees the logistics and delivery of all LearnPlay Foundation programmes.
 

‘We have worked with LearnPlay Foundation for two academic years and have found them to be passionate about their delivery, easy to work with and very committed to ensuring that our young people are engaged and switched on to learning.

They have delivered 2 Family Learning programmes for our children and their parents/guardians.  These programmes have been immensely successful in regards to connecting parents and children, helping create a shared interest and strengthening the family dynamic through positive communication and active listening. 

LearnPlay Foundation have also delivered a Teach the Teacher programme which has helped our teachers bring their lessons and parts of the curriculum to ‘life’ through the identification of relevant learning games and development tools which compliment areas within the curriculum, This has assisted engagement and learning reinforcement in some of the more dry areas of the curriculum.
