LearnPlay Foundation delivers programmes that centre on the needs of schools and students. In primary schools we deliver programmes that assist students with learning difficulties through the use of specific consoles and games that aid with basic numeracy and literacy. At secondary school level, we focus on engagement; helping schools through our tailored programmes to reengage the disengaged back into mainstream education. We work with pupils who are on the verge of exclusion, those who are on restricted timetables and those who are on Re-Entry timetables. The programmes can be delivered on- or off-site and we also work closely with student support services. LearnPlay Foundation also delivers programmes in Pupil Referral Units and to those classified as T3+.
We also provide a specific programme aimed at teaching teachers to show them how to use and integrate games into their curriculum teaching. Results and feedback has shown this greatly aids the teachers in bringing the class to life and provides useful visuals and reinforcement techniques in a less intimidating package which assist pupils to grasp more difficult concepts.
One to One or Group Programmes
Through our Entry 2 Learning Foundation and ASDAN programmes sessions are built to accommodate either individuals or groups.
Individuals
We are aware that young people have different learning styles and that they may or may not be ready or comfortable to work in groups for a variety of reasons, this is why we provide programmes based around the needs of the young person who prefers to work in a safe, non-threatening environment which also allows them to develop their confidence before moving on. This can take place at a location of your choosing or right here within our space.
Groups
Some young people thrive and enjoy working in group environments, for this reason we have developed programmes to allow this to happen. The structure of our programmes and the environment that we create ensures that young people are immersed in a fun and exciting way and also learn as much as they can through our highly customised and innovative programmes.
We undertake all ASDAN awards for both Individuals and groups.

Games Zone
This is a carefully crafted programme aimed at young people who are attending Pupil Referral Units (PRU). These young people are often some of the most vulnerable in the community and may have a range of social, mental health and behavioral issues that need to be understood by us in advance of any delivery to ensure that the programme fulfills their needs. We understand that our games approach engages these young people very successfully but we are also aware that more often then not, these young people do not want to attend the PRU in the first instance, thus in addition to the certificates that are awarded at the end of the programme, we like to discuss incentive/points options with the PRU Heads to ensure good attendance.
